At the age of 10, Marcelle and her family moved to Canada from their hometown in England. After working as a fashion model in Toronto, she made the move to New York City. While living in NYC, she managed a live jazz club and Southern restaurant in the coveted neighborhood of UWSide Food while also working in the fashion and cosmetic industries. She's lived and worked in Belgium, England, France, Greece, and Hong Kong, and now calls West Palm Beach home.
Biography
Marcelle steadily worked her way up from Corporate Trainer to Account Executive to Director of Sales roles, Director of Talent Relations for a premium social access platform to her current rewarding position as Senior Business Manager for a multi- platinum record selling, BET nominated R&B recording artist. She is well respected for her expertise in strategic planning and her commitment to wanting to empower those around her.
With over 20 years’ experience working within different cultural environments in management and leadership roles in some of the world’s biggest retail, hospitality and cosmetic companies, the word ‘normal’ doesn’t exist in her vocabulary and relationships and integrity are everything.
Giving back is in Marcelle’s DNA with a passion in community. She has sat on several Boards, including, the Florence DeGeorge Boys and Girls Club of West Palm Beach, Best Buddies Palm Beach and the YWCA of Palm Beach County as Board Chair.
She was a regular session facilitator for the American Cancer Society’s, ‘Look Good Feel Better’ Program. Marcelle has served on the committees of the American Cancer Society, Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County, Community Partners of South Florida, Children’s Healing Institute and was Chair of Camelot Community Care Palm Beach, Community Advocacy Board. For 15 years, she has been a proud member of The Junior League of the Palm Beaches, holding several leadership positions, most recently (2022-2023) having the honor of being the first black President in the League’s 82-year history.
In 2021 by M.I.A Media Group LLC as one of South Florida's Most Prominent and Influential Black Women in Business & Industry and a four-year term serving as
Commissioner, representing District 6, on the Palm Beach County Planning and Zoning Board (most recently as Chair).
Marcelle juggles a busy work schedule as a business manager in the music / entertainment industry with her various non-profit commitments and relishing lazy days on the beach dreaming of pub lunches in England and people watching in Paris. When she's not busy with work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son.
